What it is
General anesthesia allows your child to sleep completely through their dental treatment. It's administered by a qualified anesthesiologist in a properly equipped facility, with continuous monitoring of vital signs. This option is reserved for children who need extensive treatment, have severe anxiety, or cannot cooperate due to age or special needs.

What to expect at ABC Dental
General anesthesia appointments require pre-operative evaluation and preparation. Your child will need to fast before the procedure. During treatment, an anesthesiologist manages sedation while our dental team completes all necessary work. After the procedure, your child will be monitored in recovery until fully awake and ready to go home with detailed post-operative instructions.
